This was just a verification of the article I wrote earlier: Five reasons why Milan will give Parma a bashing. You can check it!
The Milan team was simply unstoppable! Not that Parma just sat back and watched as the Milan attackers bombarded their net with goals, they also played well to a good extent. But once again, the Milan team was simply unstoppable.Goals from Seedorf, Cassano and Robinho(2) did the rout! I was particularly surprised at the way Seedorf played. He silenced his critics(at least for a while) including me as he put up an incredible work rate compared to what he has shown us in earlier matches. He set the tone for a great match in Milan's favour with his early shot that forced a save from the keeper. His spirited run into the box allowed him to get unto the end of Ibrahimovic's blind pass assist to round the keeper and give Milan the lead. His constant runs that troubled the Parma defence was also something that really surprised me. Seedorf running with such speed? UNBELIEVABLE!
The centre back duo of Silva and Nesta gave in a peformance I could call perfect! I will say this again, THIAGO SILVA IS THE BEST CENTRE BACK IN THE WORLD. He and Nesta dissolved any threat Amauri and Crespo may have posed. Oddo might have gone for some crossing lessons before the match. His crossings were an exact opposite of his in our previous game against Genoa. In fact, One of his crosses almost led to goal!I was also very impressed with Antonini. He is finally improving.
When my room mates saw Gattuso's assist for Cassano's goal, they screamed: "GATTUSO IS BACK!" That's exactly a short description of Gattuso's performance. Van Bommel's no nonsense style is one that I cherish. His constant tackles stopped several counterattack efforts of the Parma team. He is going to be missed sorely in the Uefa Champions league. Merkel? What can I say? This young lad is one for the future. He is a very confident player for his age(19). Was not intimidated by the much older players he played with and always generated a buzz when with the ball. He wasn't afraid to use his pace at several occasions and almost scored a goal(his foot missed the ball by inches).
Cassano's two assists and his goal once again shows how much Milan would miss him in the Uefa Champions League. All I want from him now is continuity. Ibrahimovic gave the typical "Ibra" performance we now get to know him for; A performance of great determination. He should continue this trend against Tottenham!
I WISH THE MILAN TEAM A GREAT WIN IN THEIR UPCOMING UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FIRST LEG MATCH AGAINST TOTTENHAM. FORZAMILAN!!!!
